Owner Tess MacDonald grew up in Seattle. Most days you can find her in a nice pair of jeans & a sweater. She spent the early formative years in ballet class and alongside her mother in the garden. After graduating from college she moved elsewhere, trying her hand at making the world a better place in social work. Botanicals, beauty and design called her back. July Floral was created in 2011, and has been growing since. Her free time entails weekends up in the islands with family.

For a couple of reasons! While Tess was soul searching for a business name, she came across a print at Quinn’s on Capitol Hill. It featured seasonal flowers in the month of July, part of a botanical series by Robert Furber (1674- 1756).

Additionally, there is an abundance of color & fragrance at this time. So much so, that Tess and her husband decided to get married in July. And it’s also her birthday month.
